Mist Shower

Spire Technics Mist Shower Units are specifically designed for the deactivation of contaminants from Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used in potent areas such as Formulation R&D laboratories. These systems ensure that every part of the PPE is uniformly exposed to a fine mist, enabling contaminants to adhere to the garment surface and significantly reducing the risk of their release into the surrounding environment, even beyond the shower enclosure.

The unit operates using a high-performance air handling system, where air is forced through HEPA filtration and discharged through strategically positioned nozzles at high velocity. These turbulent air streams effectively disperse and settle particulate matter across all surfaces. The system continuously recirculates air within the chamber through pre-filters and mini-pleated HEPA filters (99.99% efficiency at 0.3 microns), supported by a dedicated AHU, ensuring a self-contained operation without air exchange with the external environment.

Designed for efficiency and hygiene, the mist shower features a stainless steel (AISI 304) removable walkable grid, drip tray with drainage system, and an under-basin for effective collection of discharged contaminants. The blower-driven recirculation system ensures continuous filtration, while the PPE disposal mechanism includes a dedicated deactivated PPE dump box with an external access hatch, allowing safe removal and disposal without compromising cleanroom integrity.

Note that a Reverse Laminar Air Flow Unit provides:

A small percentage of air is discharged from the booth through the bleed exhaust HEPA filter to maintain the working space under negative pressure. RLAF is available in GI powder coated / SS304 / SS316 or combination.
